Reach the top: Tulove Grede
A gentle tarmac road will drive you to the beginning of the gravelled trail that in 15km will take you to the first stage of the track. The surrounding rocks, trees and the tipical smell of the forest will slowly reveal the sensation of “isolation” that you find at the top of the mountain “Tulove Grede”. From here, at 1120m on the sea level, you can enjoy a beautiful view on the Adriatic sea while recovering some energies for the next part of your travel that will lead you to a special destination.
Velebit - Off-roading the wild Croatia
The urge of “exploration” may push you to take a detour to less beaten trails. I suggest you not to do it, unless you are accompained by a guide that knows really well these place and that may help you avoid stumbling in the landmines that were left here from the 1993 independence war.

The “Winnetou” viewpoint on Zrmanja river
Descend the mount by the last 6km of tangled off-road track and then follow the paved road for other 15km to reach the beautiful view on the Zrmanja canyon. This fascinating place is called the “Winnetou” viewpoint in honor of the legendary movies of the Indian Apache chief, called “Winnetou”, that in 1962 were filmed right in this place.
